Why Hypnotherapy

Is Hypnotherapy for me?

So Hypno Hypnotherapy is for everyone. Hypnotherapy is a tool that allows you to tap into a powerful and under used part of the brain. As a result, through guided help it is possible to re-boot and reprogram unhelpful behaviour patterns as well as ways of thinking. Clients feel relaxed as well as uplifted at the end of a session.

Does hypnotherapy work?

Yes. However, the desire to achieve the end result must be there. We will work together to achieve the changes you want in your life.

What can I expect from a hypnotherapy session?

At So-Hypno we focus on forming a partnership, as the client must feel comfortable and relaxed. The session usually takes 60-90 minutes. You will be sitting or reclining in a way that you are comfortable with. The voice of the therapist is calm and soothing and will direct and gently guide your mind to a deeply relaxed state.

With So Hypno hypnotherapy the client is always fully in control. As a result, you can choose whether to accept the therapist’s ideas and can come out of the hypnotic state at will. You are in total control.

Choosing a Hypnotherapist

If you think of your brain as an ocean, then the conscious part of your brain is the surface of that ocean, while the depths is the subconscious brain. The subconscious is deep, vast and largely unexplored.

We use the conscious brain every day to make decisions and process thoughts. This is the part of the mind that you are aware of. The subconscious mind records every little thing that ever happens to you in life. It controls the functions, habits and emotional parts of our behaviour.

Both the conscious and subconscious mind work in tandem. If they are not working well together, problems can surface such as such as anger issues, a poor relationship with food or perhaps seeking destructive relationships.

Patterns of behaviour are stored in the subconscious from the earliest age. We take in what is around us: emotional conditioning, experiences, fears, and anxieties.

Positive Changes Through Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy allows for a natural and deeply relaxed state that taps into the recesses of the subconscious mind, an area that we cannot usually access.

When in this relaxed state, the brain wavelength changes and the subconscious becomes open to other ideas. This part of the brain is very powerful.  The hypnotic state allows the subconscious the ability to accept solutions and make a positive change.

Through guided suggestion, we can remove limits placed by the conscious mind and make a positive change. We can change thought patterns and behaviour that is making you unhappy or causing issues.

You can make positive changes through hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy is an effective treatment for a whole range of problems from stress, anxiety, overeating, smoking to phobias as well as unhealthy behavioural patterns.
