We can be our own harshest critics….convincing ourselves that we are not good enough, questioning “why would people be interested in what I have to say”…worried that we make a fool of ourselves.
Do you hide away, choosing to stay at the back of the room, blending into the background crippled with low self esteem and lacking in self confidence? Sometimes we can feel it is easier to hide away, not draw attention to ourselves but this can be so limit our progression in life and prevent you reaching your full potential.
I am still surprised by how many clients contact me to enquire about self confidence hypnosis. Many people mask their true personalities….looking outwardly confident and in control when inwardly they are struggling with low self esteem and feelings of worthlessness.
An example that springs to mind is that of a client who played in an orchestra…..every night she sat on a stage playing beautiful music, but her reality was that every morning she woke up with crippling anxiety, worried that she wouldn`t be able to perform ……and thus letting the rest of her co workers down, letting the paying public down and also letting herself down……being her harshest critic!!
We can all be guilty of letting the “mental chatter” take over our thoughts and this can lead to feelings of self doubt which then culminates in us holding back, not grasping opportunities because we feel we are not deserving. Fearful of failure….not fitting in with the crowd!
Constantly doubting ourselves and thinking we are not good enough can affect all aspects of life. From careers….such as not applying for a promotion as you think you aren’t good enough or are terrified of speaking in front of people, to relationships….either in finding a partner or “making do” as you don’t think you deserve to have someone in your life who wants to love you.
Hypnotherapy can access the unconscious mind and re-set our long established thought patterns. Deep rooted patterns can also begin from a very young age. However, we can change this by placing ‘suggestion’ into the unconscious we can change a negative thought pattern into a positive change.
