Anxiety in Children
When Your Child’s Anxiety Starts Affecting You Too.
You’re there for everyone else.
But who’s looking after you??

Watching your child struggle with anxiety can be heartbreaking.
You worry about them. You think about them when you’re trying to sleep. You replay conversations, wonder if you’re doing enough and search for ways to make things better.
Maybe you find yourself constantly checking in, trying to reassure them or feeling that you need to somehow Fix what they’re going through.
Even when your child is having a better day, the worry an still be there in the background.

You are not failing your child.
Your child’s anxiety isn’t your fault. But when someone you love is struggling, it is completely understandable that it affects you too. You may feel exhausted, overwhelmed, helpless, irritable or constantly on edge. You might be trying to keep everything together for your family while quietly feeling that you are struggling yourself.
Perhaps you’re finding it difficult to switch off because your mind is always thinking about what might happen next.
You don’t have to wait until you reach breaking point to look after yourself.

I know this feeling because I’ve been that Mum too.
I understand the worry that comes with watching your child experience anxiety.
I know what it feels like to desperately want to help your child but not always know what to do.
And I also know how easy it is for your own wellbeing to slip down the list when you’re focused on looking after someone else.
My experience as a Mum is part of why I feel so passionate about helping other Mums.
But alongside that lived experience, I’m professionally trained as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Life Coach, specialising in anxiety and stress.
So, I bring both understanding and professional tools to our sessions.
You don’t have to explain or justify how you’re feeling. I get it.

This is about helping you feel like you again.
Our sessions aren’t about blaming you for your child’s anxiety or trying to change your child.
They are about you.
Creating some breathing space.
Helping you manage the worry that can feel overwhelming.
Learning ways to calm your mind and body when you feel stressed or anxious.
Giving you practical techniques that you can continue to use outside our sessions.
Together, we can explore approaches including:

-
Hypnotherapy
-
Self-Hypnosis techniques
-
Breathwork
-
Visualisation
-
Relaxation and Calming strategies

The aim is to help you feel calmer, more grounded and better able to cope with the thoughts and emotions that come with supporting an anxious child.

Imagine…

Going to bed without your mind racing through everything that could go wrong.
Having tools to use when you feel that familiar wave of worry.
Being able to step back from the constant “What if?”
Feeling less overwhelmed by your child’s anxiety.
Having space to think about yourself again.
Being able to support your child without losing yourself in the process.
You don’t have to stop caring.
You just don’t have to carry it all on your own.
