Mothers Anxiety

When your child is struggling with anxiety, it doesn’t just affect them - it lives in you too.

You feel it in your chest when they worry. You carry it in your thoughts long after they have calmed down.

You lie awake replaying moments, wondering if you said the right thing, did enough, or somehow made it worse.

Because as a Mum, it doesn’t feel like you can just support their anxiety ,It feels like you’re responsible for fixing it- of course it does - that’s the natural instinct of a Mum.

This, though, is the stage where overwhelm can begin.

You start trying to manage everything-protecting them from triggers. Choosing your words carefully, watching for signs.

Your mind doesn’t switch off because the stakes feel Too High. If they’re anxious, you feel like you have to solve it.

But the harder you try to “fix” it, the heavier it all becomes.

You might feel alone in this - like other Mums are coping better, like you shouldn’t be finding it this hard.

On the outside, you’re holding it together.

On the inside, you’re exhausted, anxious and feel so alone and isolated.

The truth is, this weight you’re carrying isn’t just about your child - it’s about the pressure you’ve put on yourself to make everything okay.

And that’s not something you can think your way out of.

Because anxiety doesn’t just live in your thoughts. It lives in your body, your reactions, your patterns.

This is why Hypnotherapy can be so powerful. Not because it can “fix” your child - BUT because it can help YOU step out of the fear, calm your Nervous System, and release the overwhelming sense of responsibility you’ve been carrying.

And when you feel calmer, safer and more in control- everything around you, including how to support your child, begins to shift.
